IT Support Officer

Compass West is a managed services provider looking for a superstar communicator to join our Tech Department as an IT Support Officer.

We are looking for someone with strong organisational and communication skills, who is passionate about providing exceptional customer service to numerous small and medium sized businesses. The successful candidate will provide administrative and technical support to our Clients and team internally.

About the role:

  • Full-time
  • Based in Roma, QLD.
  • Reports directly the Senior Technology Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • As the first point of call, field incoming IT requests and incidents from Clients via face to face conversation, phone, internal systems and email
  • Daily management of dedicated IT support inboxes and task lists, includes:
    • Create and update tasks based on emails
    • Drafting and send communications to Clients
  • Organise and book support sessions between technician and Clients
  • Book and manage success of online professional development and partner events such as webinars and training
  • Purchase management, includes:
    • Complete paperwork
    • Place orders
    • Manage delivery and billing
  • Develop and prepare written instruction for:
    • Internal processes
    • Client troubleshooting
  • Providing basic troubleshooting to Clients

About you

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills, with proven experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, including ability to triage multiple requests and establish work priorities under pressure
  • Can confidently research and summarise information succinctly – we would love if you bring a summary of what you think Compass West does to your interview!
  • IT support experience is a bonus but not a necessity – as long as you’re willing to learn!
