Description

We are currently seeking a Business Support Officer to be the face of Compass West and Desq, two thriving small businesses with a passion for business doing its best, efficiency and adding value to everyday work. The Business Support Officer will play a critical role in supporting both businesses to deliver our products and services to a high standard. This role is based in our office, 5 days a week and is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants the opportunity to experience a diverse range of tasks, Clients, projects, and colleagues. While this is an entry-level position, this role is an opportunity to progress an existing administrative career – we firmly believe the sky is the limit – or to kickstart a career in administration for someone who is driven, excited and prepared to turn up with their best efforts and attitude to growth every day.

Responsibilities

  • Space management – tidying, organisation and co-ordination of support services (cleaners, gardeners etc)
  • Provide administrative support to the team, including managing calendars, scheduling and taking minutes for meetings, and coordinating travel arrangements.
  • Assist with the preparation of client presentations, reports, and proposals.
  • Conduct research and gather relevant data to support the team in delivering high-quality solutions to our clients.
  • Coordinate and organise team events, trainings, and workshops.
  • Maintain and update databases and systems.
  • Monitor and manage office supplies and inventory.
  • Act as a point of contact for client inquiries and ensure they are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Undertake regular tasks to support delivery of client work, including preparing equipment for setup by technicians, data entry for Clients and general support of service delivery

Requirements

  • Excellent customer service skills, proven experience preferred, with a “playful and professional” demeanour and ability to maintain client confidentiality.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organisation skills.
  • Proven ability to manage a variety of tasks simultaneously, including ability to triage multiple requests and establish work priorities under pressure
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Outlook and Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in completing tasks.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.

Technology Officer

Work within a team to deliver high-quality managed and ad hoc IT services to a diverse Client base. This role provides high-quality customer service by applying effective organisational and communication skills to negotiate, advise and work collaboratively with others to reach decisions.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Provide operational support (on-site and/or remote) to Clients as required.
  • Configure/install/monitor/support/manage the IT environments by applying high level technical expertise
  • Provide timely support to clients by conducting thorough investigation and diagnosis of incidents and providing remedial action to ensure agreed Service Levels are maintained.
  • Develop, maintain and work within procedures for the maintenance and support of end user computing
  • Administer cloud-based applications and ensure profitability of key product areas

Are you right for this role?

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate technical expertise in the management, configuration, monitoring and implementation of IT environments to support business operations for our Clients. Within the context of the responsibilities described above under ‘Key Responsibilities’, the ideal applicant will be someone who can demonstrate the following:

  • Proven experience in delivering high quality IT support to clients, with an emphasis on managing workloads, prioritising tasks and working unsupervised.
  • Proven experience and ability to identify and resolve IT related problems within defined Service Level Agreements.
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple tasks within agreed priorities, timeframes and accountabilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills and personal qualities that facilitate the development of good working relationships, including collaborating within teams, and enhance the provision of quality client service in the team environment.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills that enable the creation and/or maintenance of system documentation, work instructions and technical reports for management.
  • Demonstrated experience with or the ability to quickly learn Microsoft Admin portal and Monday.com.
  • Ability to maintain an awareness and understanding of new and emerging IT technologies and products as they relate to Clients and solutions for their technology needs.

About you

We’re looking for someone with approximately 3 years experience in a similar role supporting Microsoft environments. You will also have experience delivering project work without guidance and direction, for example working on servers, e-mail, networking and cloud migration projects.

We’re looking for a candidate with:
